Shopmobility Basingstoke provides powered scooters and electrical or manual wheelchairs for hire to improve access to Basingstoke Town Centre and Festival Place, as well as for longer term loans for holidays and weekends away.
What is Shopmobility?
Shopmobility Basingstoke is part of the national Shopmobility scheme for people with restricted mobility, whether temporary or otherwise and is a registered charity in its own right.
Who is it for?
Absolutely anyone - young or old - who would enjoy increased mobility in and around the town can use the facility.
You might be recovering from an illness or finding walking difficult. Whatever the reason we can help.
We can provide an escort to push a manual chair, give you confidence with a powered vehicle or simply keep you company.
Our Aims

To provide greater freedom and independence to people in the borough of Basingstoke and Dean and it's visitors with impaired mobility by provision of both powered and manual wheelchairs together with powered scooters.

To develop partnerships with local statutory and public sector organisations to improve access within the town centre, its facilities and surrounding areas.

To develop partnerships with local statutory and public sector organisations and local community groups to develop an awareness and increased knowledge of Shopmobility and the service it provides .
