Fundraising

We rely on fundraising events to help raise essential funds towards running Shopmobility. We are always keen to hear from individuals and companies who would like to organise or participate in events to help raise funds. Check our news page for some of the fundraising events we have held in the past.

Donations & Grants

Like most Charities we rely heavily on Donations, and Grants, to acquire those little extra’s that make running our business that much easier for the Staff and Volunteers. with this in mind, we are very grateful to ‘The Four Lanes Trust’ for providing a Grant to enable us to purchase additional IT equipment.

Further to a fund raising effort ‘Silchester Players’ were able to raise four cheques to local charities including Shopmobility, with the marvellous sum of £750.00, which will be going help in the purchase of a new Scooter. Thank you to all at Silchester for thinking of us.

Should you wish to make a donation to Shopmobility please contact Michelle or David at our Centre for further details. If you would like to make a Financial Donation and you are a UK taxpayer we may be able to claim tax relief also to further support our funds.

Shopmobility 100 Club

This is a monthly draw with the chance to win cash prizes – Prize values are based upon the monies taken in on a monthly basis. Entry into the draw is just £2 per month. This is an easy way for you to help us raise funds and in return you might be the one getting the phone call telling you that you have won up to £50! Payment for entry needs to be made in advance on a 6 or 12 months basis . If you want to join part way through the year you pay on a pro rata basis. Please speak to Michelle or David for a registration form and more details.

Christmas Wrapping Service in ‘The Malls’ Shopping area in the Town Centre

We will be back in ‘The Malls’ Square again this year courtesy of Management of the Centre to offer our Wrapping Service as previous years. We will be there during the following dates:

Monday 9th December through to Friday 13th.

Monday 16th December through to Christmas Eve.

We do not make a fixed charge for wrapping your gifts, just a donation, with a suggested £1.00 per package.

We look forward to helping you make your Christmas Gift looking good under your Tree.

The Trundle

Once a year we arrange a trundle for all our customers to help give them experience of using a scooter or power chair and to let them explore areas of the town they may not have known existed. We have regular trundles, why not come along and give it a try. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours, and you will get to meet and make many new friends.
